Choose One Thing and Make a Difference
WSU and UW engage in a friendly competition to help the environment

Residence hall students: What if you could do one thing, something easy and simple, to make a positive difference for the environment? What if doing one thing became a personal habit? What if hundreds and thousands of others joined you in doing their one thing? That's what the One Thing Challenge is all about.

To add some fun, UW and WSU res hall students will be engaged in a friendly competition that runs from today through November 25. The campus with the most participants will celebrate with bragging rights and the ceremonial awarding of the One Thing Cup.

The One Thing Challenge between WSU and UW is your chance to commit to making a difference. By committing to one thing, you'll develop greener habits. Eventually, you'll find there are more things you can do to reduce your impact by saving electricity, water or fossil fuels.

Can you commit to change one thing between now and Apple Cup on November 25? We think you can. Work with your friends, create a one thing floor or house pledge and hold each other accountable. For more information, go to http://www.hfs.washington.edu/one_thing/.
